Eric Lacourciere recently joined our team to help support Amilia’s growth! His primary role will be to develop a global plan for our company and to evaluate the potential new markets where Amilia could potentially grow. Eric has worked in technology for over 20 years and is now ready to face new challenges. We have no doubt he is an excellent addition to our team. We asked him 10 to know him better, here are his answers:

Explain your job at Amilia

I am the VP of Business Development. My role is to establish and maintain a business relationship with complementary partners. Those who already have a strong presence in the technology world and those who can make a difference in our market positioning. I need to identify the big players and work on our relationship with them. Amilia is on the verge of transforming itself into a solution that will reach millions of people in all communities. I strongly believe in the solution we offer and today I am preparing our playground for tomorrow.

If you were an animal, which one would you be?

A tiger ... but more social. It is a very strong animal, a bit like me. I love challenges and always give my 100%.

Choose: cat or dog ?

My heart leans towards dogs. However, I recently surprised my family by bringing a cat home, which they had all been asking for. She is trying change my mind and turn me into a cat person, but it is not easy. 😊

What is the app you use the most?

Google Maps! You control the map, you control the world! 😊 So useful I couldn’t live without it. It's faster than going to a website to find contact details, make a call, find business hours, and more. Then it's the Strava application, I use it even more than Facebook!

What’s your favorite thing about working at Amilia?

The positive energy, talent and passion that I feel around me. When you enter the office for the first time, you feel this good vibe.

What is your dream travel destination?

The world! I love traveling too much to limit myself to one choice. My children are already exotic in their destination choices - I have already passed on my passion. I think it’s a good thing.

Three words that define you:

Sociable, competitive, and opportunist

Nutella or peanut butter?

I like mixing the 2. But I'm more a peanut butter type of person.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

Vanilla, but it always need a good topping; chocolate sauce, fruits or sprinkles.

Do you enjoy the Montreal winters?

Yes, especially when there’s a lot of snow. When everything is white, I find the city very beautiful. To enjoy winter – snow is a necessity. You also must try a lot of outdoor sports to truly enjoy it.
