Meet Max, one of our Developers!

In our tight-knit Development team, each person specializes in a certain aspect of the platform. Intentionally or not, each developer infuses their flair and personality into coding that feature. The Amilia Store is Max's speciality. If you've used it, then it's like you already know him...well, sort of. We asked him 10 questions so you could get to know him better!

1. Explain your job at Amilia Max_circle_mask

I’m a web developer working primarily on the Store part of Amilia and all the admin pages that allow our clients to create and edit the content that goes into the Store. I was the first one to start working on it over 2 years ago and I’m mostly the one building all the new stuff on top of it.

2. What was your last search on Google?

It was a solution for a problem I currently have with date pickers we use on Amilia… Date and Time handling are a programmer’s worst nightmare.

3. What one thing drives you absolutely crazy?

Road rage…I hate it when people get angry for nothing behind the wheel. If you can’t handle the realities of driving, just don’t drive.

4. You enter an eating contest.  What food?

Shepherd’s Pie. I really love most Asian food but I can’t stop myself when eating Shepherd’s Pie.

5. What’s the wallpaper on your phone right now?

A picture of a nice little street I took on a trip to Italy.

6. What word are you guilty of using too often?

Hipster. I guess I’m getting old cause I start to find everything is too "hipster" now.

7. What’s your favourite thing about working at Amilia?

The chance to make a difference in the company. We are not just a small, easily replaceable part of a big company but we are really part of a team and all working together.

8. What is your TV guilty pleasure?

Investigation shows about real crimes. I don’t watch them that often but when I do, I watch so many in a row that my girlfriend gets scared that I’m studying how to be the perfect killer.

9. What’s your favourite Amilia feature?

Our ability to do fixes and add new features really fast. We can go from receiving a bug report from a client to fixing it within half an hour. Not many web apps can do that!

10. Pick one: Bacon or Nutella

Bacon. I could never get fed up of bacon. But Nutella is definitely good too!
