At Amilia, our team continues to expand. Part of our commitment to excellence where our customer experience is concerned is making sure our sales team adapts to not just our client needs, but also the ever-evolving digital world we live in. Our newest team member in this department is Jeremy, who is joining us as a Sales Executive. Learn more about him!

Explain your job at Amilia

Still figuring that out, but my title is Sales Executive! I try to become best friends with clients so that I can understand their day to day and explain how Amilia can help! I’m kind of in between the lead development reps, and customer success reps, so I think I’m supposed to be the closer!

If you were an animal, which one would you be?

A dog! I’ve actually been told I’m like a dog numerous times. Basically, I’m always ready to play, love the outdoors, I’m kinda clumsy, eat almost anything and if you throw a ball I’ll probably chase it!

What is your favorite series of the moment?

"Fauda." Hands down the most insane thing on Netflix. It’s about an elite and secret unit of the Israeli army, that goes undercover into enemy territory to catch terrorists. Without getting into the politics, it’s just entertaining!! I mean if you plan on watching an episode, cancel everything you have for the next 9 hours. Not kidding.

Choose: cat or dog?Jeremy.jpg

As indicated above, DOGS. No ifs, ands or buts. A dog’s sole purpose is to enjoy himself and live for his owner. Cats have hidden agendas. I ain’t about no hidden agendas.

What do you think is the most useful mobile application?

Other than the dozen work apps I have, I’d have to say FitBit. Not a day goes by that I don’t sync my steps and compare with my friends. We have weekday and weekend competitions and we’re constantly trash talking to motivate each other. I have literally given up on workouts if I forget my Fitbit! Notable mention to What The Forecast, which basically makes fun of the weather in an as vulgar way as possible. It makes the -35 degree days more tolerable.

What’s your favorite thing about working at Amilia?

Before even starting I knew the answer would be culture. Everyone is so positive and fun, and here for the same objective. The mission statement can’t say it any better, everyone seems to be on the same page and share a consistent passion. Plus, I got a fruit basket and water bottle. Who doesn’t need to drink more water in their day!

What is your dream travel destination?

I love Europe but fortunately have been many times. I think South America is next on my list, but I’d need a couple months! I love the language and the similar yet different cultures. All have such interesting history, landscape, and political situations, that us Canadians sometimes take for granted. Life here is for the most part easy, so it’s important to see these differences.

Three words that define you:

Honest, Athletic, “Zero to 100”. The latter is my strength and weakness at the same time. I can get crazy into something one minute, but fall asleep the next. Kinda like a dog!

Nutella or peanut butter?

Impossible question. It’s like spaghetti or meatballs? Of course it’s both but if I had to choose it would be all natural crunchy peanut butter. I could basically survive off just that. I’ll dip anything into it, or eat it by the spoonful.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

The richest, chocolatiest chocolate there is. Not double or triple, I’m talking quadruple brownie fudge cookie oreo sundae all in one. And then dipped in some sort of chocolatey brownie fudge stuff. I usually order a small though.

Do you enjoy the Montreal winters?

I actually do. Complaining about them would be silly. I think it makes us strong and appreciate the summers more. Nothing better than that first 17 degree day in March/April where everyone stops everything they’re doing and runs outside. When you prepare for the winter and layer up, it’s actually kind of enjoyable. Plus I love how cold the tap water gets!
