We want our platform to be as intuitive as possible for our orgs and their clients. Meet Jérémie, one of our Front-End developers who makes this happen. We asked him 10 questions so you could get to know him better.

Explain your job at Amilia.

As a Front-End developer, my work consists of bringing the best possible interface to Amilia users. I mainly improve the interface's ergonomics and accessibility.

What was your last search on Google?

I searched for the electronic pieces for an Arduino project. I'm working on a little home arts & crafts project to create a connected object. I'm not that craftsy, so it should be fun.

What's the background of your phone right now?

It's a photo of the colourful autumn forest in Quebec. Fall is my favourite season! Not too hot, not too cold, and positively no mosquitos!

You enter an eating contest: which food?

Mangos. I would devote myself to some sort of mango cult for this delicious fruit.

Bacon or Nutella?

As much as I like bacon, I need to be honest and admit that I have a few jars of Nutella at my house. But, they are hidden behind the jars of mango jam! That being said, even more than the spread, nothing satisfies like the crunch of milk chocolate with hazelnuts.

What's something you go crazy for?

Board games. They're always good moments with friends and family. My speciality is trickery, sabotage, or full-on attack. Thankfully, it's just for fun.

What's your TV guilty pleasure?

I really like the show Superstructures. You learn how these huge structures were thought of and completed. I love seeing humanity overcome technological challenges in the face of physical constraints.

What's expression do you say too often?

"It's done". I often say it, with a certain level of contentment, once I complete a task.

At Amilia, our team is always responding to our clients' needs. Once a certain feature is requested, we develop it, and it is quickly integrated into our platform. It's conrete: the feature is there and ready to use. We can tell the client: "there you go, it's done."

What's your favourite thing about working at Amilia?

The fact that everyone can have a different opinon and be heard. For me, being able to propose ideas is such an important force. This demonstrates solid team cohesion and leads to quicker improvements in the platform.

What's your favourite Amilia feature?

We recently added a booking feature to our platform. It's a really practical feature for people who want to reserve an activity for a specific date rather than for a whole sesssion.  For the user, it adds a lot of flexibility and, for the organizations, managing clients is made simple.
