Here at Amilia we have an amazing team of developers who work hard upgrading our platform to meet your needs. This process involves a lot of back and forth with our users. That's why our devs are by far our largest team and they are close knit high functioning group that we are extremely proud of. This team keeps growing and one of our new web developers is Francois-Guy. We asked him 10 questions so you can get to know him better!

Explain your job at Amilia

I’m a thing fixer! I fix the software.francois-guy.jpg

What was your last search on Google?

I was curious about Mercury’s rotation, for no real reason. It’s amazing how we can be curious about something, search for it online and get the answer in a minute, just like that.

You enter an eating contest. What food?

Ramen noodles! I love them, but I wouldn’t be a very good contestant. I eat pretty slowly, and people would wonder why I entered an eating contest in the first place.

What is your TV guilty pleasure?

Infomercials are fascinating. I like to watch them sometimes to look at all the little demonstrations they’ve got planned and people’s reactions.

What’s your favourite Amilia feature?

I love that you can create invitation-only programs, where users have to input a password to get in. I like to think it has a “secret society” feel to it.

Pick one: Bacon or Nutella?

What word are you guilty of using too often?

It’s probably “like”. I think it’s a useful word to paraphrase a reaction or a situation. As in “so when I arrived, that person was like…”.

What’s your favourite thing about working at Amilia?

When I got in the office, I was introduced to my coworkers, but also to someone’s dog, who was just hanging out next to someone’s desk. Like, “here’s this person, and here’s the dog”. … oh, I said “like” again.

What’s your favorite app?

It’s definitely Spotify. I find myself looking for weird music and thinking “how is this even on Spotify” pretty often.

Pick one: Kittens or puppies?
